Fall Season 2020
Soccer Families,
You might have wondered when Fall registration will be available. Or if we are planning on a Fall 2020 season. I am hoping to answer some of those questions to the best of my ability.
On June 30th Governor Lee instituted several orders that stopped contact sports including soccer from playing. On July 1st that order was extended until August 29th, 2020.
What does this mean for our league?
At this time we can not engage in soccer practices (as we know them) games or scrimmages. Players can not share equipment or engage in games or drills with one another. Competitive play in any form is not allowed.
As a soccer board we have decided to hold off on registration until closer to that date and we have more directives from the governors office.
If or when might we open up registration?
Based on the information on hand right now we are entertaining a extremely small registration window the last week of August. It is possible that we will not be able to provide a late sign up for those that miss that window. As with a shorted registration we will also have a shorter time for team building.
If you chose to transfer your registration to the Fall you are good to go. If and when we open you will be already registered. If you did not choice to do that or if your a new registration you will need register with in that time frame. We will do everything we can to provide a safe onsite option for those that require assistance.
Do we know what the fall might look like at this time?
To be perfectly honest and transparent we absolutely do not. Our soccer families health and safety is our number one priority followed by making sure we are operating with in state guidelines. We absolutely want a normal or as normal looking Fall as we can safely provide but at this time we do not know what that will look like. If you have any questions beyond what is covered here please do not hesitate to reach out.
